Saturday 7th June 2008 - Buttermere Lake, The Lake District  (LAST FEW PLACES REMAINING)

Buttermere Lake is 1½  miles long and ¾ of a mile wide and has a footpath that runs around the perimeter of the lake.  There is a beautiful combination of lakes and mountains at this location, making it perfect for photography.

Saturday 20th September 2008 - Honister Pass, Borrowdale Valley, The Lake District

The Honister pass lies between the steep sided slopes of Dale Head to the north and Fleetwith Pike to the south.  Rising to 1167 feet in height at the summit, it’s one of Cumbria’s highest passes.  The Honister Pass connects the Borrowdale and Buttermere valleys.

Paul is also offering 1 day Adobe Photoshop workshops for 1 to 1 tuition (date to be arranged at the convenience of the client).  These are workshops are priced at £250 per day.

The content of these workshops can be tailored in advance to the client’s needs.   Items covered on the day can include:

Scanning to achieve the best results for monochrome

Digital file conversions to monochrome

Adobe Photoshop toolbox and tool functions

Basic use of adjustment layers

Cleaning the file using cloning, healing and patch tools

Selecting and adjusting individual parts of an image

Use of levels and curves for increasing/reducing tonal range and contrast

Sharpening images

Sizing the image and preparation for printing

The fine art print
